VBRN AI Policy

Consistent with Section 2.1.2 of the NIH Grants Policy Statement and NIH Notice NOT-OD-25-132, applications to the Vermont Biomedical Research Network must be based on original ideas developed by the applicant. Applicants are expected to formulate the scientific rationale, hypotheses, study design, and interpretation based on their own expertise and intellectual contributions. Applicants remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all submitted materials. Potential risks of AI use include plagiarism, fabricated citations, and other forms of research misconduct, which are subject to NIH oversight (GPS §4.1.27).
