Tentative Program Agenda:
9:00-10:00 AM Breakfast (hot breakfast will be served)
10:00-12:30 PM Mentoring the Mentor Workshop (in-person)
The workshop will be led by Dr. Charlie Irvin, Professor of Medicine and Molecular Physiology and Biophysics in the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. Dr. Irvin has led many “mentoring the mentor” workshops through the years. He will be joined by a panel of experienced mentors from primarily undergraduate institutions in the network who will share their experiences supporting student researchers, including mentoring styles and lessons learned. Attendees will take away ideas for developing their own personalized mentoring plans.
