The 9th annual VCBH Conference will focus on innovations in tobacco control and regulatory science to decrease cigarette smoking.This conference will bring together renowned researchers in intersectional fields across nicotine and tobacco that includes interventions for tobacco cessation, state and national level policy, combusted and non-combusted sources of nicotine, and vulnerable populations. A call for poster abstracts focuses on research related to decreasing cigarette smoking. This includes research that addresses attempts to reduce use either from a tobacco control perspective or through use of policy. Abstracts will be evaluated on the basis of scientific merit. Please send submissions (including title, authors, affiliations, and 250-word abstract) to Dr. Diann Gaalema at diann.gaalema@med.uvm.edu by Friday August 27, 2021. A special Lunch and Learn session from the Center on Rural Addiction (CORA) on “Rural Tobacco Use: Prevalence, Considerations, and Interventions” will be on Friday October 8 from 12-1:15 PM.
